John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed unwavering confidence in the NDC’s chances of winning the upcoming general elections.
Addressing the residents of Saboba during his three-day tour of the Northern Region, John Mahama shared his vision for a transformed Ghana, passionately urging voters to bring an end to what he described as the shortcomings of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd, John Mahama explained his view that the NPP has failed to keep the nation on course, leading to economic instability and hardship.
He emphasized that when he left office, he passed on a stable economy, primed for growth.
However, under the NPP’s management, Mr. Mahama believes that this economic foundation has crumbled, causing soaring prices of goods and services and widespread difficulties for Ghanaians.
“Another term for the NPP,” he stated, “will only deepen these struggles and bring more hardship.”
John Mahama appealed to his supporters and the broader Ghanaian electorate to reject the NPP, insisting that the party has exhausted its ability to deliver meaningful change.
Yet, despite his confidence, John Mahama reminded the NDC faithful of the dangers of complacency.
“Victory may seem within reach, but we must not take it for granted,” he advised. “Stay focused, stay committed—only through our collective effort can we achieve a victory that will allow us to reset this country and set it back on the path to prosperity.”
He passionately argued that the NDC is the only party capable of revitalizing Ghana’s economy and restoring hope to the people.
As such, he urged voters not only to elect him as president but to also support every NDC parliamentary candidate on the ballot.
“Together, we can turn Ghana around,” John Mahama declared, “and build a future where every Ghanaian can thrive.”
