The NDC has an excellent plan to restart Ghana’s industrialization program – GFL

Secretary General of the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), Abraham Koomson, praised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for its 24-Hour Economy Policy, which he believes will revitalize Ghana’s industrial sector.

According to Mr. Koomson, the NDC’s proposal will reintroduce the three-shift system that made Tema an industrial hub in the late 1970s.

Speaking on Ahotor FM‘s ‘Yepe Ahunu‘ with host Nana Dogbe, Mr. Koomson shared that he met with the NDC’s manifesto team and found their plans promising for boosting production.

He urged the public to support the NDC in the upcoming December elections.

The NDC’s group of experts, known as the LAB and led by Professor Danso Boafo, engaged with the GFL leadership to discuss the 24-Hour Economy proposal.

Their discussions focused on reindustrializing factories, creating jobs, and transforming the industrial sector.

Mr. Koomson believes the 24-hour Economy policy will help reactivate key factories in Tema, such as Valco, Tema Oil Refinery, GTMC, Aluworks, and Tema Shipyard, thereby boosting the country’s industrialization program.

He emphasized that this policy will be a game changer for the Ghanaian economy, benefiting businesses and providing employment for the youth.

Mr. Koomson applauded the NDC for their commitment to reactivating these factories, which he believes will reduce unemployment in the area.

He called on Ghanaians to vote for the NDC to bring about these transformative ideas, contrasting them with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), which he claims does not prioritize the needs of ordinary Ghanaians.
