Dr. Paul Opoku-Mensah, the Executive Director of the National Cathedral project, has emphasized that the National Cathedral is far more than just a church building.
Speaking during a media engagement in the Greater Accra region, he explained that the project holds significant national, continental, and global importance.
It aims to foster meaningful conversations that go beyond religious worship.
Dr. Opoku-Mensah highlighted that the National Cathedral will serve as a key venue for global and national gatherings, rather than being viewed solely as a place of worship.
He expressed that the project will bring greater recognition to Ghana, attracting people from around the world to participate in its cultural and religious activities.
Addressing previous controversies surrounding the project, Dr. Opoku-Mensah urged Ghanaians not to dismiss it based on earlier criticisms.
Instead, he called for support from both citizens and authorities to ensure the successful completion of the National Cathedral, emphasizing the benefits it will bring to the country.
