Veteran actress Grace Omaboe, professionally known as Maame Dokono, recently expressed her wish for the country to build a statue in her honor.
Having made significant contributions to the Ghanaian movie industry, Maame Dokono emphasized the importance of recognizing her role and impact for the benefit of future generations.
During an interview with Blakk Rasta, Maame Dokono highlighted that while there is a park named after her, she believes that a statue would further solidify her legacy.
Despite already being featured in textbooks, she stressed the significance of a physical tribute, suggesting that an erected statue would be a fitting tribute to her career.
Maame Dokono humbly acknowledged that she isn’t compelling anyone to undertake this gesture but expressed her gratitude for such an honoring monument.
