The FA has done great Work,We Should Expect More – Commey
The October 25th,2019 Ghana Football Association election was keenly contested and Mr Kurt Okraku was elected as president of the Association. Since then, there have been both praises and criticism of his administration.
The new administration is just a year old and Mr Albert Commey, CEO for Techiman XI Wonders believes the current administration has done great work and football people should even expect more.
“The FA has done well, they have changed a lot of things which was at first not helping our football to move forward, the FA will do more but need the strength from God”
The former Hearts Of Oak administrator had lots of praises for the FA capo having worked with him in previous years in different capacities.
” Mr Okraku is a young man who comes from a family where they love football. His grandfather was among the founding fathers of Hearts and Okraku himself has learned football throughout his entire life”
“Okraku has a determination of becoming one of the best FA president in the history of Ghana football and that mentality will help him to work hard”
“This FA president is also working with great and experience people (EXCO Members) who always comes out with strong ideas that will help our football association”
The 2019 – 2020 season was truncated due to the Covid 19 pandemic and Government’s decision to suspend all gatherings. This affected the FA and clubs financially and Mr Albert Commey claims they (FA) have a lot in the pipeline that will be implemented.
” Because of COVID-19 some of the activities have been affected but I believe a lot of things are in the pipeline and very soon people will see them”
” For now Referees and Club Licence Board are making sure rules and regulations are in order which even speak a lot ahead of the season”
” Football Administrators as well as the media should support the FA to make our game more attractive.Owners should sign great players and also brand their teams to attract more sponsors, media should also speak something positive about our league”
Mr Commey believes the FA will soon resurrect our colts football which has been collapsed for so many years.
