The Caribbean Week Festival is here to stay!

The Ghana Caribbean Association has kicked off its Caribbean Week celebration today, 1st June 2024 at the W.E.B Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan-African Culture in Ghana.

The event, from June 1st to June 8th, promises a vibrant celebration of both Caribbean and Ghanaian culture.

The Caribbean Week celebration features various events, including music and dance performances, art exhibitions, cultural workshops, and delicious Caribbean and Ghanaian cuisine. Attendees can look forward to experiencing the unique traditions and customs of both regions, fostering a deeper appreciation for their shared cultural heritage.

At the event, the organizer Mallisa Garner assured Ghanaians that the festival would become an annual celebration, bringing together the rich culture of the Caribbean and Ghana.

Mr Akwasi Awua Ababio, the director of Diaspora Affairs at the Diaspora Affairs Office of the President of Ghana, emphasized the importance of embracing each other’s cultures to promote unity, stating that we are all one people.
