Tems’ ‘Love Me Jeje’ Hits Gold Status in the U.S., Extending Global Dominance

Nigerian international sensation Tems has added yet another milestone to her illustrious career as her Grammy-winning single Love Me Jeje is now eligible for RIAA gold certification.

According to music chart platform Chart Data, the hit track has surpassed 500,000 units in sales in the United States, earning the recognition less than three months after she secured four additional RIAA certifications.

This latest achievement further solidifies Tems’ standing as one of the most RIAA-certified Nigerian artists and a key figure in taking African music to the global stage.

Love Me Jeje, which earned her a second Grammy award for Best African Song Performance at the 67th Grammy Awards, continues to resonate with audiences worldwide. Her recent appearance at the 2025 MET Gala further emphasized her crossover appeal.

Speaking at the Gala, Tems highlighted the diversity of African music, stating that genres beyond Afrobeats are ripe for global recognition.

Tems has seen significant success in the U.S., collaborating with major stars like Beyoncé, Drake, and Future. Her debut album Born In The Wild features Grammy-winning rapper J. Cole, with whom she also performed at this year’s Dreamville Festival.

Her growing acclaim includes a recent nomination for the American Music Awards and a Record of the Year win at the 17th Headies Awards.
