Tema West NDC men organizers are making a passionate plea to President John Mahama to appoint Editor Wilson as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE). Their advocacy is rooted in the President’s commitment to increasing female representation in leadership positions.
Editor Wilson, being the only female candidate among males, is seen as an ideal choice for the role.
The organizers argue that Editor Wilson’s appointment would not only promote gender balance but also bring much-needed representation to the Tema West region.
According to Sani Mohammed, a former executive member of Tema West, there are currently no government appointments from the area, making Editor Wilson’s potential appointment a crucial step towards promoting peace and representation.
This development comes on the heels of the NDC’s reported surge in support in Tema West. A recent voter assessment survey showed that respondents value President Mahama’s policies, including the 24-hour economy.
The appointment of Editor Wilson as MCE could further boost the party’s popularity in the region.
The organizers’ plea has sparked interest in the community, with many eagerly awaiting the President’s decision.
