Member of Parliament for the Tema East Constituency, Hon. Isaac Ashai Oddamten, has outlined an ambitious development agenda aimed at transforming the constituency in 2026, assuring residents that Tema East has been fully captured in the 2026 national budget of the government led by H.E. John Dramani Mahama.

Hon. Oddamten made these remarks during a Thanksgiving Devotion held to commemorate one year of the Mahama administration at the Christian Divine Church in Tema Newtown.

The MP expressed gratitude to God and the people of Tema East for their continued support, noting that the coming year will mark a significant phase of accelerated development for the constituency.

As part of his key education-focused interventions, Hon. Oddamten pledged to complete the long-abandoned Anglican School storey building to provide a more conducive learning environment for students.

He also announced plans to construct a modern sports stadium at Awodum to promote physical education, sports development, and talent nurturing among the youth.

In addition, the Tema East MP assured that most basic and secondary schools in the constituency will, within the first half of 2026, be equipped with fully functional computer laboratories, improved canteen facilities, and upgraded school wards where applicable. According to him, these initiatives are aimed at enhancing digital literacy, student welfare, and overall academic performance.

Hon. Oddamten further reaffirmed his commitment to human capital development by pledging the continuation and expansion of his flagship “Back to School” initiative, which supports needy pupils and students with essential educational materials at the beginning of each academic year.

He emphasized that education remains the cornerstone of his parliamentary work and urged stakeholders, including parents, school authorities, and faith-based organizations, to partner with him to ensure the successful implementation of these projects.

The MP concluded by calling on residents of Tema East to remain hopeful and united, stressing that the 2026 development agenda represents a shared vision to improve living standards and secure a brighter future for the constituency.
