Team Ghana Will Be Present At Paris 2024 – GOC President Confirms

The President for Ghana Olympics Committee, Mr Ben Nunoo Mensah has confirmed that Team Ghana will surely be at the Olympics games at Paris irrespective of the limited number of qualified Athletes.

In an interview on another platform , GOC President Ben Nunoo Mensah emphasized that only 11 athletes mainly track and field, and swimming have qualified but they would have wish all the athletes they gave them scholarship would have been part of the team Ghana contingent .

Team Ghana is expected to leave Ghana in the first week of July to camp at Strasbourg for a pre-competition training before moving to the game Village for the actual competition. Team Ghana is expected to compete in five disciplines .

In Swimming, Harry Stacey, would compete in the 100 meters freestyle while Joselle Mensah also competes in the 50 meters freestyle.  Reigning African High Jumper, Rose Amoanimaa Yeboah, would compete in High Jump for athletics while Abdul Rashid Samini competes in the men’s 200 meters race. 

The 4x100meters relay team would have Isaac Botsio, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah, Fuseini Ibrahim, and Gadayi.  The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be held from Friday, July 26, 2024, to Sunday, August 11, 2024.
