Team Ghana Begins Training Ahead of Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin-Italy
Team Ghana is preparing feverishly for the World Special Olympics Winter Games scheduled March, 2025. The team pitched camp in Takoradi at Twin City Special School.
The mini-camp section was preceded by medical examination of Athletes. This was done to ensure Athletes were in good condition even before training commence.
Beaming with smiles, Athletes were put through the paces under close supervision and guidance. Country Director of Special Olympics, Mr. Dwise, Head of Special Olympics Ghana, Mr. Emmanuel Kobina Baidoo and Mrs Belinda Bukari, Head of Education for Learners with Intellectual Disabilities at Ghana Education Service actively engaged Athletes during training.
The team is set to reopen camp in November. Special Olympics Ghana is an organisation which seeks to empower Children with intellectual disability through Sports.
