The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has commended Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister for Sports and Recreation, for donating three months of his salary to the National Sports Fund.
SWAG also praised its member, Dickson Kyere Dua, Member of Parliament for Berekum West, along with other MPs who have contributed to the Fund. The Association described the gesture as patriotic, timely, and reflective of strong leadership.
According to SWAG, the donations represent a bold demonstration of commitment to the growth and sustainable development of sports in Ghana. The Association noted that such acts of sacrifice and responsibility set an important example for stakeholders across the country.
SWAG further called on Corporate Ghana, private institutions, and development partners to emulate the initiative by supporting the National Sports Fund to help strengthen sports infrastructure, athlete development, and long-term planning.
