Suspected thieves steal crush barriers on the new Pokuase interchange

Suspected thieves disguised as construction workers have stolen crush barriers valued at $3,500 at the newly commissioned Pokuase Interchange with the street lights targeted next.

The Pokuase Interchange was commissioned by President Akufo Addo earlier this year which residents were happy because it will reduce the traffic congestion and travel time.

But Authorities in charge of the interchange have revealed a shocking news that some suspected thieves have made away with crush barriers on the Pokuase Interchange which will be valued around $3,500.

Some residents who saw the thieves removing the crush barriers said they thought they were part of the workers working on the interchange and no one would have suspected them because they looked professionals with their reflectors.

Resident Engineer of the Pokuase Interchange Ing. Kwabena Boampong also confirmed the incident.

He says the value of the crush barriers stolen will amount to $3,500.

Ing. Boampong also revealed that they have already picked up signals that some people want to steal the street lights too on the newly commissioned Pokuase Interchange.
