Supporters of Aduana Stars Stoned Us Over Bets – Coach Samuel Boadu
Head coach of Medeama, Mr. Samuel Boadu has revealed that they were assaulted by fans of Aduana Stars yesterday during the Ghana FA special Competition match against Aduana Stars because they were of the view that, their chances of winning their stated bets could be foiled by the team.
Irate fans of Aduana Stars pelted stones at Coach Samuel Boadu and match commissioners at the Agyemang Badu Park which interrupted the match as officials running for cover as the police stood aloof and watched on helpless.
In an interview with Daakyehene Kwabena Amoabeng on Ahotor 92.3 Fm, Coach Samuel Boadu, stated fans of Aduana started to pressurize Medeama to withdraw their Goal Keeper from the match after he was being treated by the medical staff following an injury.
”Our keeper was injured and was being attended to. As we were preparing to replace him with another, fans of Aduana Stars begun shouting on top of their voices to allow our opponents win the match because they have staked bets. ” he said.
The police had to convey players off the stadium in a convoy before they could get to their respective destinations after the game ended in a 1 – 1 tie.
