The outgoing Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Vice Admiral Seth Amoama, has implored the public and all security agencies to accord his successor, Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, the needed support to succeed.
Speaking at a brief guard of honour and reception organized by the Ghana Police Service (GPS) in collaboration with other allied security agencies for the outgoing CDS, Vice Admiral Amoama acknowledged the enormous support and collaboration he enjoyed across the board.
He also noted that he has confidence and hope in his successor to deliver on his mandate with remarkable dedication.
He implored all officers to extend the same cooperation to his successor, Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, who is taking over from him.
I have every confidence in his astute transformational leadership ability, and I trust that he will take the level of cooperation from where I am leaving and even grow it to a higher level,” he added.
He also expressed appreciation to God and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for allowing him to serve as CDS.
Vice Admiral Amoama also thanked the Inspector General of Police (IGP), George Akuffo Dampare, for his sterling leadership of the service and for honouring him with the ceremony.
