Sudan FA Offers Kwasi Appiah-Led Technical Team New Deal Until 2029

Assistant coach of the Sudan national team, Ignatius Osei-Fosu, has revealed that the current contract of the technical team will expire in September 2026.

Speaking on Pure FM, Osei-Fosu disclosed that the Sudan Football Association (SFA) has already tabled a new contract proposal for the technical team, headed by head coach James Kwesi Appiah. According to him, the proposed deal will run until 2029.

He explained that the new offer is designed to secure continuity and stability for the national team setup, with a specific focus on the 2030 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign.

“Our current contract runs until September 2026, but the Sudan Football Association has presented us with a new contract that will take us through to 2029,” Osei-Fosu said.

The move by the SFA signals confidence in the Appiah-led technical team and reflects the association’s long-term vision as Sudan continues to rebuild and strengthen its national football structures ahead of future international competitions.

No official announcement has yet been made regarding the acceptance or finalisation of the proposed contract.
