Ghanaian Music producer and Entertainment critic Enock Agyepong has taken to Facebook to strongly condemn what he describes as the increasing emergence of “brand killers” within the music industry.
In a fiery post, Enock compared the music business to any other professional industry, questioning why individuals within the creative ecosystem would openly threaten to destroy brands they are supposed to collaborate with and benefit from. According to him, it is both unethical and dangerous for industry players to sit on air or on public platforms and boldly declare intentions to bring down brands.
He stressed that while constructive criticism is healthy and necessary when brands fall short, crossing the line into threats and deliberate plans to ruin businesses is unacceptable. Enock did not mince words, describing such behaviour as either pure foolishness or something darker, especially coming from people who “eat from the same industry.”
Taking the conversation further, he advised brands that feel threatened or lose deals due to such public attacks to seek legal redress.
He noted that such actions could amount to defamation or business interference, suggesting that affected parties pursue the matter in court. He also mentioned that criminal threats could be reported to the CID Headquarters for proper investigation.
As Ghana steps into 2026, Enock believes the time has come to test the law and establish legal precedents that will protect brands and bring sanity into the entertainment space.
He even recommended respected legal practitioners, including Lawyer Kwadwo Ofori Dankwah, while encouraging brands to choose any competent lawyer they trust.
