Stop politicizing the state institutions – Odike

Kwesi Addaie Odike the founder and the leader of Union Government has stated that the reality of economic hardship Ghanaians are going through can best be described as the misguided leadership and the way our president and his cabinet are controlling the state institutions with party agenda which are not in the national interest.

He disclosed this on a Yepe Ahunu political show on Ahotor FM in Accra.

He said the police brutality of the demonstrators of Democracy Hub was very unfortunate and barbaric and this act has shown clearly that the police and the other institutions are just in the pocket of the president and are just working to serve the interest of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo.

He further questions the status of our constitution where all the powers are entrusted in the hands of the executive, which gives room to the president to control the judiciary, the police, the army, and the parliament; this he believes has been manipulated to carry out the deed of the president with impunity.
Kwesi Addaie Odike the founder and the leader of the Union Government, reiterated that there is a need for the citizens to fight the government for a major reform, especially with the review of the 1992 constitution to break the hidden loopholes in the constitution that is making the president a democratic dictator.

A political Historian Nana Osei Piesie Anto in his submission opined that the relationship between government and the non-governmental institution has broken down and is critically affecting the best part of our state, especially in governance and national development.
He is of the view that the role of the opposition to keep the government accountable is a sole responsibility attributed to just political parties.

This he said must be our individual role to rally behind the government, the opposition, the religious groups, and the civil society organizations to rise up and play their civic role to keep the government in check in the development of the country.

He therefore calls on the Electoral Commissioner Madam Jean Mensa, to open her corridors of communication to work with all stakeholders to shape the agenda and programme of the national election activities, devoid of her belligerent position in the ongoing limited voter registration.
