StarTimes Owes GFA $950,000 in Broadcasting Rights Fees – Kurt Okraku
Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has confirmed that StarTimes owes the association $950,000 in outstanding broadcasting rights fees for the Ghana Premier League.
Okraku stated that the GFA has made several efforts to have StarTimes settle the arrears, which have impacted the association’s ability to invest in league growth and infrastructure.
The debt, spanning several seasons, has affected Premier League clubs that rely on media rights revenue.
Fans are also becoming increasingly worried about the league’s finances.
The GFA is still negotiating with StarTimes to resolve the issue. There is growing pressure for an immediate resolution to safeguard Ghana football’s future.
