The Soweto club held its annual party celebrations on Sunday, January 26, 2024 to mark an eventful year.
The colourful function started with a traditional prayers by Nyonmotsaa wulomo and was assisted by La Agbanfoatse who are both football mates and members of the club at the famous Chechekule Club House in Accra.
The party which began in the morning around had Naa Djama Kowe provide breakfast (koko, bread, groundnuts and milk) for members present.
Slaughter House Crew; Nii Nmai , T T Topstar , Paapa , also prepared a delicious tooloo aklor and banku which was served with chilled beer.
Team Managers from Chechekule, Mighty Jet, Giraffes gave speech and congratulatory messages to the club executives for their immerse contributions over the last past twelve months.
Ahumaa Dady Bosco and Adjetey Boss also had their turn to share brief history of Soweto and matters of discipline respectively.
Ghana legend, George Alhassan was also present at the ceremony endorsed that SOWETO is the BEST CLUB among 3 other clubs he belongs.
He however, admonished that members should vow to see SOWETO a formidable outfit and move forward.
In reacting to Georges’s encouraging comments, founding fathers of SOWETO club said the club is NOT a “9 day wonder“ thing and that his advice has been taken in good faith.
