The Star Old Students Association (SOSA) has urged graduating students of Star Basic School to uphold the values of integrity, discipline, perseverance, and excellence as they transition to the next stage of their academic journey.

Delivering a speech on behalf of the President of the Association at the school’s 2026 Graduation Ceremony, Sub-Officer Edzii Samuel of the Ghana National Fire Service’s Tema Industrial Area Fire Station congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of basic education and encouraged them to remain focused on their future aspirations.

He reminded the students of the school’s motto, “Arise and Shine,” urging them to make it a guiding principle in their lives. According to him, the motto should inspire them to rise above challenges and excel in every endeavour they undertake.

Sub-Officer Samuel noted that although the journey through school may not have been easy, the graduates had demonstrated resilience and determination in overcoming obstacles. He encouraged them to approach future challenges with confidence, knowing that the experiences gained at Star Basic School had prepared them for greater opportunities ahead.

He further advised the graduates to uphold the reputation of the school wherever they find themselves and to remain guided by the values instilled in them. He emphasized the importance of humility, hard work, service, and integrity in achieving lasting success.

Welcoming the graduates into the Star Old Students Association, Sub-Officer Samuel encouraged them to remain connected to their alma mater and contribute to its growth and development in the years ahead.

The graduation ceremony brought together students, parents, teachers, old students, and invited guests to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class and their successful completion of basic education.
