Upcoming gospel musician Simon Botwe has officially released an eight-track gospel album titled David Asa, marking what he describes as the beginning of a new chapter in his music ministry.
The album features songs including “David Asa,” “Nyame Na Yɛ,” “Nyame Bɛba Mu,” “Nyame Sie Sie Wo,” and other inspirational gospel tracks.
Speaking to Obaapa Janee on Ahotor Mmre, Simon Botwe revealed that the inspiration behind the album was deeply connected to a difficult period in his life when he fell seriously ill.
According to him, during his sickness, he prayed to God and promised that if God came through for him, he would dedicate his voice and talent to glorifying Him through music, singing and dancing.
Simon said his recovery strengthened his faith and motivated him to fulfil that promise by officially pursuing gospel music.
He explained that he has admired the gospel music industry and its ministers for a long time and has now decided to fully commit himself to the industry.
With the release of David Asa, Simon Botwe says he is ready to establish himself in the gospel music scene and use his music to inspire, encourage and draw people closer to God.
