Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale is stepping beyond the music stage and into agribusiness, as he prepares to launch what is being described as one of the largest poultry farms and meat processing plants in Ghana.
According to reports, the award-winning artiste is investing over $5 million into the ambitious project, which will be situated in Gomoa in the Central Region. The initiative is being executed with the support of Ghanaian musician and political activist Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A. Plus.
The duo have already secured acres of land and are set to begin operations soon, marking a significant shift in Shatta Wale’s career as he explores opportunities beyond entertainment. The project is expected to focus on large-scale poultry production alongside a modern meat processing facility aimed at meeting both local demand and potential exports.
Beyond business, the initiative is projected to have a strong social impact. It is expected to create employment opportunities for many young people in the area while contributing to Ghana’s agricultural growth and food security.
Fans and industry players have applauded the move, describing it as a forward-thinking investment that could inspire other creatives to diversify their income streams.
As Shatta Wale takes this bold step, he continues to prove that his influence stretches far beyond music — positioning himself not just as an entertainer, but as a businessman with a vision for national development.
