Ghana’s dancehall king, Shatta Wale, has once again proven that the music industry doesn’t have to be a battlefield.
In a surprise twist that’s sending shockwaves through Ghana’s entertainment scene, Shatta took to X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate Black Sherif on the release of his much-anticipated album, Iron Boy — and his message was as raw and real as you’d expect from the SM boss.
In a post dripping with both praise and his signature sass, Shatta wrote:
“If you follow Ghanaians you will even think God is your enemy… Congrats on this masterpiece lil one. Go hard and don’t stop.”
He didn’t stop there. Addressing the constant attempts by online trolls to stir beef where there’s none, Shatta added:
“I never hear say you say Shatta Wale this, Shatta that, but as usual those unemployed Ghanaians deh try push agenda… I am too bank minded for nonsense. Just do your thing my G!!!! SM4LYF.”
The dancehall king capped it all off with a cheeky jab at haters:
“Let’s make da kwacha hardddd in their faces… Who loose now? #IronboyAlbum”
The post has since gone viral, with fans from both camps celebrating the rare show of unity between two of Ghana’s biggest music forces. Many hailed Shatta for putting respect on Black Sherif’s name and focusing on the bigger picture — elevating Ghanaian music on the global stage.
Black Sherif, known for his deep lyrics and raw storytelling, is yet to respond publicly, but fans are hoping this moment sparks a possible collaboration between the two — a dream many have harbored for years.
Whether it’s bromance or just mutual respect, one thing is clear: Shatta Wale’s shoutout is making the Iron Boy era hit even harder.
