Global pop sensation Shakira has happily resumed the Peruvian leg of her ongoing tour after briefly pausing due to health concerns.
Fans were relieved when the tour picked back up on Monday, February 17, 2025, and the singer shared glimpses of the concert on her Instagram Story, posting pictures and videos of the show and her thrilled audience. She also reposted fan photos, expressing her gratitude and love for them.
This comeback follows an announcement from Shakira on February 16, 2025, when she revealed she had to cancel the show after being rushed to the hospital with an abdominal issue. Her doctors advised her against performing due to her health condition.
“I regret to inform you all that I had to go to the ER last night for an abdominal issue and am currently hospitalized. My doctors have informed me that I’m not in good enough condition to perform tonight,” she wrote at the time.
The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer shared her deep sadness over the cancellation and reaffirmed her plans to return to the stage as soon as possible.
“I’m so sorry I can’t be on stage today. I’ve been eagerly looking forward to reuniting with my amazing fans here in Peru. I hope to be discharged and feeling better tomorrow so I can perform. My team and the promoters are already working on rescheduling the show, and I’ll let you know as soon as we have a new date. Thank you all for your understanding. I love you. – Shak,” she expressed.
