Security Analyst, Adam Bona has condemned the seeming rampant arrests of citizens who comment on issues of concerns.
Adding that, the security agency’s style of arrests and invitations to ‘help in an investigations’ is becoming too much and might stifle free speech and opinions which vital in every democratic environment.
Speaking to an Accra-based radio station, in reaction to the arrest of Apostle Owusu Adjei by the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) operatives who is accused of making a threatening statement against the Electoral Commissioner, Jean Mensah, the Security Analyst said, he wasn’t impressed with the mode of arrest.
He however condemned Apostle Adjei’s utterances as ‘below the belt’ and unacceptable by any standards, but he expected the BNI to have shown maturity in their operations.
Apostle Adjei was reported to have made some disparaging remarks against the EC Chair, who denied:

Comments by a section of the society are in doubts if Apostle Adjei really had any Indian hemp in his pockets or was implanted on him.
