Owner of Premier League side Young Apostles and former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member, Samuel Anim Addo has been charged with a breach of the GFA Ghana Premier League Regulations following his recent comments on social media platform X on Thursday.
Anim had said “The GFA use referee Maxwell Hanson for dirty works”- ExCO member, Samuel Anim Addo
after the said match official was criticized for bad refereeing in Dreams FC’s 1-0 win against Accra Lions at the Tuba Astro Turf on Sunday.
The GFA has accused Anim Addo of misconduct, claiming his commentary brought the name of the Association and the Ghana Premier League into disrepute.
The charges, outlined under Articles 34(6)(d) and 38(8)(c) of the GFA Ghana Premier League Regulations, relate to statements Anim Addo made accusing a match official of inappropriate conduct during a game between Accra Lions and Dreams FC.
Anim Addo, has until Monday, January 13, 2024, to respond to the charges.
