Former Ambassador to Sri Lanka and India, and now the President of the Professional Forum of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sam Pee Yalley, has shared his thoughts on recent government appointments made by the President.

In an interview with Citizen Kofi Owusu on Ahotor FM, Sam Pee Yalley expressed his satisfaction with the individuals selected for key roles in the administration. “So far, so good,” he remarked, adding that he is particularly impressed by the calibre of the appointees.

According to him, the past two days have seen intense collaborative efforts, with appointees actively contributing to the drafting of the manifesto and supporting the president in various engagements across the country. He noted that the appointees have demonstrated exceptional competence and energy in their respective fields.

Additionally, he commended the president for prioritizing gender inclusivity by appointing a significant number of women to serve in the government. “I am very happy with the representation of women in these appointments. It’s a step in the right direction,” he said.

Sam Pee Yalley concluded by reiterating his optimism about the future, emphasizing that the blend of expertise and commitment among the appointees bodes well for the administration.

Again Sam Pee Yalley highlighted the trust and confidence the President has in his appointees. He noted that their close proximity to President Mahama reflects not just loyalty but also their proven competence and dedication to duty.

“The fact that these appointees are working closely with President Mahama shows that he recognizes their unique qualities and trusts their abilities. This is not to say that there aren’t others whom the President respects and values, but these individuals have demonstrated both loyalty and exceptional competence,” he explained.

He singled out Julius Debrah as a prime example of hard work and dedication. “When you take someone like Julius Debrah, he is not only hardworking but also an individual who brings unmatched energy and determination to the table,” Sam Pee Yalley remarked.

He expressed optimism that the team assembled by President Mahama has the capacity to deliver on their mandate and contribute meaningfully to the success of the administration. “These appointees reflect the values of loyalty, hard work, and competence, which are crucial for moving the country forward,” he concluded.
