Tanzanian club YANGA Princess have acquired the services of Ghanaian goalkeeper Safiatu Salifu from Ampem Darkoa Ladies.
The goalkeeper agreed to a two-year contract with Young Africans’ female side, YANGA Princess.
She completed the deal on Sunday evening following successful negotiations and mandatory medical.
Salifu contributed to Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ triumph in the top tier last season by keeping ten clean sheets and allowing only four goals in 14 games.
She was adjudged the best goalkeeper at the end of the 2021/22 Women’s Premier League.
Young Africans anticipate that her relocation to Tanzania would help them compete with rival Simba, who last season participated in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
