Ryan Bertrand Officially Retires From Football
Champions League winner Ryan Bertrand has announced his retirement from professional football after struggling with injuries.
The 34-year-old has been without a club ever since he left Leicester last year after joining the club on a free transfer from Southampton in 2021. Ryan Bertrand made just 11 appearances for the Foxes after struggling with injuries.
In an exclusive interview on another platform , Bertrand confirm his retirement from active football .
“Just to clarify officially I will be retiring from football , It’s been a little while but I get asked a lot of questions , So, just to make that official I am retiring and very much looking forward to the next steps in my career”.
Ryan Bertrand’s most prominent spell came at Chelsea, having started his career at Stamford Bridge – making 57 appearances for the Blues between 2010 and 2013. It was during his time at Chelsea that Bertrand won the Champions League. He started the 2012 final and helped the Blues beat Bayern Munich on penalties.
Bertrand also represented England 19 times during his career, finding the back of the net once for the Three Lions. However, the majority of his career was spent at Southampton, making 240 appearances for the Saints before joining Leicester.
