Head coach of Tamale based club Real Tamale United(RTU) Ibrahim Tanko has said the club is currently facing financial crisis.
According to him, the club’s financial crisis is so dire to the point that they find it difficult to travel to honour their away matches in the ongoing Ghana Premier league games.
“Even money to travel to Elmina to play Elmina sharks this weekend is a huge problem. The players play with hunger and are yet to be paid for the past three months including both technical and management team”, he claimed.
Tanko therefore called on stakeholders and benevolence to come to their aid to avoid been relegated.
RTU were promoted last season into the Ghana Premier league and are currently lying on the bottom half of the ongoing league table with just 28 points from 25 games.
Coach Tanko disclosed this when speaking on Asempa morning show.
