Ghanaian footballers displayed outstanding performance for their respective clubs in the Italian A over the weekend.
Ahotor FM‘s Andrews Akavani monitored the players and this is how they performed:
Genoa 2 – Lecce 1.
Ghana forward Caleb Ekuban came off the bench to score a 76th-minute winner for Genoa as they came from behind to beat Lecce 2-1 to stretch an impressive unbeaten Serie A run to seven games.
Juventus 1- Empoli 1.
Emmanuel Gyasi was impressive on the wings, lasting full-time for the Empoli as they shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw against a 10-man Juventus.
Cagliari 1 – Torino 2.
Midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana was pulled off by Cagliari after suffering an early injury in the first half as his side slipped to a 2-1 defeat at home to Torino.
Fiorentina 0 – Inter 1.
Alfred Duncan saw 83 minutes of action for Fiorentina who went down 1-0 against Inter Milan thanks to a Lautaro Martinez goal.
In Serie B, Felix Afena Gyan was an unused substitute for Cremonese in their 1- 0 win at Brescia to give their quick Serie A return hopes a big boost.
