Ronaldo Nazario expressed in his interview with Ge, his intentions to contest in the upcoming elections which are expected to take place between March 2025 and March 2026 (a confirmed date has yet to be set), for the Brazil Federation presidency.
However, the electoral process is currently open, and Ronaldo knows he will need the support of the nation to take this momentous step.
Widely considered the greatest striker ever in the history of the sport, Ronaldo has transitioned seamlessly into football administration since retiring in 2011. The two-time Ballon d’Or winner has shown his administrative acumen through his previous ownership of Cruzeiro in Brazil’s Série A.
“I have hundreds of motivations, but the biggest is to return to Brazilian football with respect on a global level. What happens most often on the street is that people stop me and ask me to come back and play, because the situation of the national team is not the best right now.
Currently the president of La liga’s Valladolid, the management he could undertake could reconnect the national team with the fans -something that would also be influenced by his massive stature.
“Listening to former athletes will be important in my management plan, bringing prominence back to the legends of Brazilian football. My goal is to make the CBF the most beloved organization in Brazil,” he declared.
The presidency is currently occupied by Ednaldo Rodrigues.
