Rehoboth Foundation, Zions Hill Apostolic Prayer Ministry support Tema Community 5 flood victims

The Rehoboth Foundation, in collaboration with Zions Hill Apostolic Prayer Ministry, has donated relief items to victims of the recent flooding in Tema Community 5 who are currently taking temporary shelter at the Gospel Revival Ministry.

The donation exercise was led by Hon. Vivian Asempapa, former Ghana Ambassador to Senegal, on behalf of The Rehoboth Foundation, a global Christian and humanitarian organization founded by Rev. Celia Apeagyei-Collins. Relief items presented to the victims included bags of rice, sugar, cooking oil, canned mackerel, bars of soap, detergents, clothing, footwear for children, and other essential household supplies.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Hon. Asempapa expressed gratitude to Zions Hill Apostolic Prayer Ministry for partnering in the initiative and commended the leadership of the Gospel Revival Ministry for providing shelter and support to displaced families. She noted that the intervention forms part of a broader effort to bring relief and hope to vulnerable communities affected by disasters and hardship.

She further appealed to churches, corporate organizations, philanthropists, and well-meaning individuals to support the ongoing relief effort, stressing that many affected families still require assistance. According to her, the Foundation is looking forward to attracting more partners and donors to expand support for flood victims and other vulnerable groups.

Hon. Asempapa also thanked all collaborators, supporters, and volunteers whose contributions made the donation possible. She emphasized the importance of Christians supporting one another through acts of compassion and service, adding that strong community support systems are essential in helping people recover from difficult circumstances.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to The Rehoboth Foundation and Zions Hill Apostolic Prayer Ministry for the timely intervention, describing the donation as a source of relief and encouragement as they work to rebuild their lives following the floods.

The recent flooding in Tema Community 5 displaced several families, destroyed personal belongings, and forced many residents to seek temporary shelter. The incident has renewed calls for long-term drainage improvements and effective flood-control measures to address the recurring flooding challenges in the area.

The Rehoboth Foundation is a global Christian and humanitarian non-profit organization focused on poverty alleviation, healthcare, leadership development, and community empowerment. Operating across Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States, the Foundation undertakes medical missions, educational programmes, leadership training initiatives, and trauma-informed care services aimed at supporting vulnerable and underserved communities.
