Rahim Ayew Backs Black Satellites Despite World Cup Qualification Collapse

Former Ghana international Rahim Ayew has expressed support for the Black Satellites following their failure to qualify for the 2025 U-20 FIFA World Cup in Chile.

The team was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations (AFCON) by Egypt in a penalty shootout.

Ayew remains optimistic about the team’s progress, stating, “I’ll not say it’s a disappointment because it’s a process.” He acknowledges the team’s improvement, noting they reached the quarterfinals, and believes they should be given time to develop.

Ayew cautions against comparing the current team to past generations, such as his brother André Ayew’s era. “Times have changed… I believe we should give this team some time and see what happens.”

Ayew hopes the team will win something for Ghana in the future, demonstrating his faith in their potential.

His support aims to boost the team’s morale and encourage continued growth.
