Popular Ghanaian radio personality and entertainment critic, Kwame Dadzie, has sparked conversation across social media after posting a strong cautionary message directed at celebrities.
In a heartfelt post on his Facebook page, Kwame urged public figures to be vigilant about the kinds of fans they allow into their personal spaces.
“Celebrities, come closer,” he began, setting a serious tone. He described how some fans go to extreme lengths to form personal bonds with stars, often blurring the lines between admiration and obsession. According to him, these individuals display excessive friendliness — calling celebrities ‘brother’ and ‘sister,’ trying to know their deepest secrets, and making every effort to involve themselves in the stars’ personal lives.
Kwame Dadzie didn’t mince words, labeling such individuals as “demons” who are not genuinely interested in the wellbeing of celebrities but are rather chasing fame by association. “They do the same to almost every other celebrity they see,” he warned. “By force friendship. They don’t love you; they love your fame.”
The post quickly gained traction, with many in the entertainment industry agreeing with Kwame’s observations.
Kwame Dadzie’s message is a necessary wake-up call, especially in an age where social media blurs boundaries between celebrities and the public. With fame becoming more accessible and fans getting bolder in their approaches, many celebrities are now considering putting stricter barriers around their private lives.
Kwame’s bold post has not only stirred a necessary conversation but also reminded Ghana’s stars that sometimes, the biggest threat to their peace doesn’t come from their critics — it comes disguised as a friend.
