Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, a former National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman, believes that the John and Jane ticket is the most effective combination to save Ghanaians from their dire economic circumstances. As part of Prof.
Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s campaign tour in the Greater Accra Region, Dr. Ofosu Ampofo addressed NDC supporters in the Tema East constituency and stated that the ticket is the best to safeguard Ghana’s future.
He calls Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, a scholar who broke through the glass ceiling to become Ghana’s first female vice-chancellor of a public university.
She also brought technical universities and increasingly free senior high school education to the nation while serving as Education Minister.
Because she is the finest candidate to safeguard this nation’s future and to offer support in the precarious economic climate we find ourselves in, our incoming president, Mr. John Dramani Mahama picked her to be his running partner.
Dr. Ofosu Ampofo also criticized the NPP for misleading Ghanaians in 2016 when it claimed to have found an economic whizkid in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to address the nation’s economic problems.
He claimed that in spite of being hailed as an economic wizard, Dr. Bawumia oversaw the greatest Cedi to Dollar ratio in Ghanaian history in addition to the failure of numerous companies, including banks.
In the approaching general elections on December 7, the former national chairman of the NDC urged voters to reject Dr. Bawumia, claiming that he has nothing fresh to give the people of Ghana. Dr. Ofosu Ampofo asked voters to cast a large number of ballots for the NDC presidential ticket, noting that the John and Jane ticket have the necessary expertise and are competent of handling the affairs of the nation, and that Ghana’s future is bright when placed in their hands.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, on her part, stated that in order to lessen the suffering that Ghanaians face, the NDC is prepared to put the 24-Hour Economy policy, National Apprenticeship program, Women Development Bank, and the Big Push into action, among many other programs.
