Prioritize special education – Minority leader tells government
The minority leader Dr. Cassel Ato Forson has criticized the allocation of GHc 920,000 to government schools providing special needs education as being woefully inadequate.
Dr. Ato Forson highlighted schools like the Akuapem School for the deaf and the Akropong School for the blind, emphasizing the need for increased funding to ensure these schools operate effectively.
He called on the government to reconsider its allocation to better support catering to students with special needs.
On his part, the majority leader Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu echo these concerns and appeals to the government to prioritize special education.
