President Mahama to Attend Conferences in Germany and Ethiopia – Felix Kwakye Ofosu Briefs

Accra, Ghana – President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has embarked on a two-nation working tour, beginning with Germany and followed by Ethiopia.

Briefing the media on the trip, Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, stated that the President’s first stop will be Germany, where he has been invited to participate in the Munich Security Conference.

“The first is in Germany, Munich, to be precise, where he has been invited to participate in the Munich Security Conference,” he said.

He highlighted President Mahama’s role as Chairman of the Tana Forum, a security think tank, as a testament to his dedication to security issues.

“Many of you will be aware that President Mahama is the chairman of the Tana Forum, which essentially is a security Think Tank about evolving strategies to enhance African security,” he noted.

At the conference, the President will take part in the Opening Forum, contributing to discussions on global security challenges.

“In a fast-evolving, complex geopolitical environment where security is high on the agenda, it is necessary for the voices of prominent African leaders to be heard on the subject. So President Mahama will be participating at the opening forum of the security conference,” he explained.

Additionally, President Mahama will deliver remarks at a side event organized by the Tana Forum, where he will outline his vision on Africa’s emerging security challenges.

“In addition to that, he will be speaking at a side event organized by the Tana Forum, and as chair, he will be outlining his vision and perspectives on the emerging security challenges on the continent and beyond,”Kwakye Ofosu said.

Following his engagements in Germany, President Mahama will travel to Ethiopia to participate in the African Union Conference in Addis Ababa.

“After that, he will head to Addis Ababa to participate in the African Union Conference. It is an annual event that is held in Addis Ababa, where he will also be engaging in a number of activities involving bilateral discussions. Even in Munich, he is scheduled to have bilateral discussions,” Kwakye Ofosu stated.
