President Mahama Returns from Working Visit to Nigeria After Talks with President Tinubu

President John Mahama has returned to Ghana following a one-day working visit to Abuja, Nigeria, where he held high-level discussions with Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

During the visit, President Mahama expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu for honoring his inauguration as the Special Guest of Honour.

Their discussions centered on strengthening the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), enhancing regional cooperation, and tackling pressing security challenges such as terrorism and violent extremism.

Additionally, President Mahama provided an update to President Tinubu, who serves as the Chair of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State, on his recent engagements with the leaders of Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso, emphasizing the need for continued dialogue and strategic collaboration to promote stability in the region.
