
Accra, Ghana – The President, John Dramani Mahama, has reaffirmed his commitment to serving as a President for all Ghanaians, regardless of political affiliation, ethnicity, or background.
Speaking at the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service, Christian edition at the Ohene Konadu Auditorium at the University of Professional Studies, UPSA – Accra, H.E John Mahama emphasized the importance of national unity and collective effort to address the country’s challenges.
He reiterates his dedication to fostering inclusivity in his leadership.
“I stand before you not just as the President of a political party or a section of the population but as a leader for every Ghanaian,”, … “regardless of your political party or ethnicity, I am here to serve you. This is the time for us to be united, not divided.” he noted
He stressed that Ghana’s strength lies in its diversity and urged citizens to set aside differences and work together to build a better future for the nation.
He expressed optimism in tackling the crisis facing the country with faith and action.
Acknowledging the serious challenges facing the the country.
“with God’s help and the collective support of the people, solutions could be found.” – he asserted
He highlighted key issues affecting various sectors, particularly education, and plans for the national conference, to take place in the coming weeks.
“We have a challenge currently with feeding students in our secondary schools. To address this, I have instructed the Chief of Staff to allocate food currently stored at a warehouse in Tema to ensure our students are well-fed and their education continues uninterrupted.”
Commitment to Inclusive Leadership
President Mahama called on all Ghanaians, irrespective of their backgrounds, to unite behind a common purpose of progress and prosperity.
“This is not the time for division,” he emphasized. “It is a time to join hands, pool our resources, and focus on solutions that will uplift every Ghanaian, especially our youth and students who represent the future of this nation.”
Moving Forward with Faith and Determination
In closing, President Mahama reiterated his reliance on God’s guidance in his leadership and his faith in the resilience and determination of the Ghanaian people.
He called on all religious communities to continue to pray for the nation as it navigates its challenges and strives toward a brighter future.
