President Mahama Pays Tribute to Late Namibian Leader Sam Nujoma

Accra, Ghana – The President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has signed a book of condolence at the Namibian High Commission in honor of the late former Namibian leader, Sam Nujoma.

In his heartfelt message, President Mahama described Nujoma as a true warrior who fought tirelessly for the dignity and freedom of Namibia and the African continent.

“You truly fought a good fight, and now is the time for a faithful soldier to lay down his arms and rest,” President Mahama wrote.

He acknowledged the immense contributions of the late leader, emphasizing that both Namibia and Africa will forever be grateful for his sacrifices and unwavering commitment to liberation.

President Mahama concluded his tribute with a prayer, asking for eternal rest for Sam Nujoma.

President John Dramani Mahama wrote: “Liberation Comrade, you have truly fought a good fight, and now is the time for the faithful soldier to lay down his arm and take a rest.

Namibia is truly grateful to you, and Africa is truly grateful to you for the dignity and freedom we enjoy as a people.

Rest in peace, soldier, Sam Nujoma.

Long live Africa and Namibia solidarity.”
