Takoradi, Ghana – President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has described the Western Region as a land of immense promise, rich history, and extraordinary potential.
Speaking in Takoradi during his Thank You Tour, the President expressed his joy and appreciation for being in the region, emphasizing its significance to Ghana’s development.
“It is a great joy for me to be at the heart of the Western Region, a land of immense promise, rich history, and extraordinary potential,” he said.
Addressing the chiefs and people at a gathering, President Mahama explained that his visit was to express gratitude for their support in the 2024 general elections.
“I’m here with a deep sense of humility and gratitude to say a sincere thank you for the overwhelming support you showed me during the last election,” he stated.
He assured them that the trust and belief they placed in him had brought him this far, and he would not take it for granted.
“Your trust and belief in our vision for resetting and renewing our country Ghana is what has brought us this far, and I do not take it for granted at all,” he affirmed.
President Mahama pledged to serve with dedication and commitment, working tirelessly to ensure that Ghana, especially the Western Region, moves forward toward progress and prosperity.
“Today, I stand before you not just as your president, but as a son of this great land of ours, Ghana, and as a leader who believes in the potential of our people and as a servant who is ready to work tirelessly to ensure that the Western Region and Ghana as a whole move forward into a future of prosperity, dignity, and progress,” he said.
