Accra,Ghana – President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has extended heartfelt appreciation to the President of the Czech Republic, H.E. Petr Pavel, for his commitment to deepening bilateral ties between the two nations.
President Pavel is in Ghana for a historic three-day State Visit, from April 8th to 10th, 2025.
His visit marks the first official State Visit hosted by President Mahama since his return to office in January 2025, and only the second by a Czech head of state to Ghana — the last being over 60 years ago during the era of Czechoslovakia.
President Mahama emphasized the significance of this high-level engagement, expressing optimism about its long-term impact.
“I would like to once again express my profound gratitude to His Excellency President Pavel for his visionary leadership and commitment to strengthening the bonds between our two nations,” he stated.
He made these remarks at the Czech-Ghana Business Cooperation Seminar held at the Mövenpick Hotel on Wednesday, April 8.
President Mahama further underscored the importance of the visit in ushering in a renewed partnership.
“This state visit marks the beginning of a new era of Czech-Ghana relations characterized by increased trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges,” he added.
