
Nairobi, Kenya – President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has reaffirmed Ghana’s unwavering commitment to fostering stronger ties with Kenya and other African nations, emphasizing the shared goals of Pan-Africanism and mutual progress.
Speaking at the conclusion of a two-day African Union (AU) retreat in Nairobi, Kenya, where leaders convened to strategize on revitalizing the union, President Mahama underscored the importance of collaboration among African nations.
“In closing, I wish to reiterate Ghana’s strong commitment to strengthening ties with Kenya and all other African nations in the spirit of Pan Africanism and mutual progress,” he stated.
The President highlighted the enduring partnership between Ghana and Kenya, noting its steady growth and continued significance in fostering regional cooperation.
“The long-standing bond of cooperation between Ghana and Kenya continues to flourish,” he remarked.
President Mahama expressed confidence that the collaboration between the two nations would lead to even greater benefits for their citizens.
“I’m confident that our collaboration will yield even greater benefits for our two peoples,” he said.
He further urged African nations to unite in building a continent that is resilient, prosperous, and focused on sustainable development and peace.
“Together, we can build an Africa that is resilient, prosperous, and united in its pursuit of sustainable development and lasting peace,” he concluded.
The retreat, attended by leaders from AU member states, aimed to strengthen regional partnerships and chart actionable plans for Africa’s self-reliance and development.
