President Mahama Appoints Mrs. Matilda Asante-Asiedu as Second Deputy Governor of Bank of Ghana

The President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has appointed Mrs. Matilda Asante-Asiedu as the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana.

The appointment, made in accordance with Section 17 of the Bank of Ghana Act, 2002 (Act 612), reflects the President’s commitment to strengthening leadership at the central bank.

Mrs. Asante-Asiedu is a Chartered Banker and an accomplished corporate leader with extensive experience in the financial sector.

Prior to her appointment, she served as Group Head of Retail Banking at Access Bank Ghana PLC, where she played a pivotal role in expanding and modernizing the bank’s retail operations.

In addition to her professional achievements, Mrs. Asante-Asiedu has pursued advanced executive education, including participation in Executive Programmes at the prestigious Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, in 2023, among other distinguished qualifications and leadership development initiatives.

Her appointment is expected to bring a wealth of expertise, innovation, and leadership to the Bank of Ghana as the institution continues to navigate the evolving financial and economic landscape.
