Dr. Anthony Sorkpah, the Communication Officer of the NDC Insight, has expressed strong criticism of Ghana’s President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, accusing him of a lack of respect for the citizens.
Speaking on Ahotor FM’s Gblenaku program, hosted by Efo Bright, Dr. Sorkpah alleged that the president manipulates organized labor by giving them financial incentives, ensuring that they act in accordance with his directives.
He implied that the president’s actions stem from his belief that his wealth shields him from the country’s hardships.
Dr. Sorkpah further elaborated that out of the approximately 640 members of organized labor, 476 agreed to a demonstration while 177 opposed it.
He claimed that instead of submitting their demands to the government for resolution, the leaders of organized labor were allegedly bribed with GHC 5 million each to influence their stance.
According to him, these leaders are also complicit in illegal mining (galamsey), comparing their betrayal to having a thief as a security guard who steals without being caught.
He called on Ghanaians to vote for John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on December 7, stating that a change in government would ensure better governance for the country.
