Premier League Clubs and European Giants Vie for Ghanaian Centre-Back Terry Yegbe

Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly leading the chase for IF Elfsborg’s highly sought-after central defender, Terry Yegbe.

Yegbe joined Elfsborg from Finnish club SJK Seinäjoki and quickly established himself as a pivotal figure in their defense. In his debut season, he made 22 league appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist.

Additionally, he featured in twelve Europa League matches, showcasing his growing reputation on the European stage.

Elfsborg have reportedly set a valuation of approximately €5 million for Yegbe, reflecting his increasing value in the transfer market. Despite the mounting interest, the defender appears content at his current club and is not actively seeking a transfer.

Yegbe recently received his first call-up to Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, as a late replacement for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

This follows his participation with the Black Meteors at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, demonstrating his growing influence in Ghanaian football.

With several top-tier clubs vying for his signature, the transfer tussle for Terry Yegbe is set to intensify.

Brighton & Hove Albion will need to navigate the competition and negotiate a favorable deal with Elfsborg to secure the services of this highly coveted Ghanaian centre-back.
