Background on the Appointment

Jaredić was appointed on 29 June 2026 ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season. He succeeded Nana Kwaku Agyemang, who stepped down after the previous campaign.

The approximately 40-year-old Montenegrin held a UEFA A Licence and arrived with a strong reputation in youth development. He had spent the previous six years as head coach of the Under-21 team at Chinese Super League club Qingdao Hainiu FC, focusing on nurturing young players and building structured development pathways.

Vision FC President Michael Osekre welcomed the appointment, noting that Jaredić’s coaching philosophy, professionalism, and commitment to player development aligned with the club’s long-term goals of building a competitive first team while emphasising youth development and a clear football identity.

Poor Start to the 2026/27 Season

Jaredić’s tenure lasted less than four months. Results were disappointing:

•  He oversaw seven league matches.

•  Record: 1 win, 3 draws, 3 losses.

•  Only victory: a 3-0 home win over Young Apostles on 5 September 2026 at the Nii Adjei Kraku Sports Complex. Goals came from Naziru Alhassan Nyenye and a brace by Setsofia Aqetey. Jaredić expressed satisfaction with the result but noted room for improvement in the second half.

Subsequent results included several draws and defeats. Recent setbacks included a 4-2 loss away to Bechem United and a 1-0 home defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak on 17 October 2026, with substitute Kwesi Asmah scoring the decisive goal late in the match. This was Vision’s second consecutive loss.

Vision FC currently sit in the relegation zone (16th) after seven matches, with 6 points, 8 goals scored and 10 conceded.

The resignation came just days after the Hearts of Oak defeat. The club has not yet named a permanent successor. Management is reported to be in talks with several candidates and aims to appoint a new head coach quickly.

Vision FC’s next fixture is against Dreams FC on Sunday, 25 October 2026.
