Power Outage Alert: ECG Maintenance Works Scheduled for April 29

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will conduct planned maintenance works in parts of the Greater Accra and Western Regions on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. The maintenance activities are aimed at strengthening and improving the reliability of the power distribution network. In the Greater Accra Region, the works will take place between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, affecting areas such as:
– Affected Areas in Greater Accra:
– Mensvic Hotel
– Lancet Medical Laboratory
– Ghana Link
– Franko Estate
– Ofankor
– Surrounding communities

In the Western Region, maintenance works will occur between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm, impacting communities such as:
– Affected Areas in Western Region:
– Agona
– Dupaul
– Apremdo
– Whindo
– Kwesimintsim
– Assakae
– Mpatado
– Adientem
– Nearby areas

ECG has expressed regret over the inconvenience this may cause and appealed to customers to bear with them as the maintenance is crucial for enhancing electricity service delivery. Recently, the company has been grappling with power outages caused by massive rainstorms and stormy winds, which have led to incidents such as fallen trees, ripped roofs, and billboards collapsing onto electrical conductors.

The company urges the public to promptly report any cases of fallen or sagging conductors and localized outages within their communities. Customers can report incidents by:
